SYRIA, Seleucis & Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (13.11 g), issued 196, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, around legend AVT K M A ANT**W*NEINOC CEB, rev. eagle standing facing, head to right, wreath in beak, standing on leg and thigh of animal, around **D*HMAPX E**X UPA TO**D*, (cf.S.2650, McAlee 667, Prieur 202); Syria, Seleucis & Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem, (Antioch), Philip I, (A.D. 244-249), billon tetradrachm, (12.18 g), issued 247, obv. radiate cuirassed bust right of Philip I, around AVTOK K M IOV**LI FILIPPO*C CEB, rev. eagle facing open wings, head to right with wreath, around, **DHMARC EXOU*CIAC **UPATO G*, ANTIOXIA over S C in exergue, (cf.S.3958, McAlee 904, Prieur 377) (illustrated).
